The gracious hospitality of Tom Bombadil and Goldberry’s house has become legendary to readers of J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings. Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin escape from the weird Old Forest into the golden safety of this wonderful home, and prints of this original hand-done painting depict the group at supper.

Here, Goldberry is in her rain-like gown of silvery-white. She fills Merry’s bowl with the marvellous water that makes the hobbits laugh and sing. In her other hand, she bears a bowl of golden berries.
Tom Bombadil fills Pippin’s bowl and carries a vessel of garden herbs.
There is a folk art piece on the wall above the window, hinting at the Adventures of Tom Bombadil with Old Man Willow and old Badger Brock.
