If there is something familar-looking about my rendition of Catherine, it may be that you are a Regency buff or have a strong interest in art history. She is based on portraits of Lady Emma Hamilton, whose life was filled with very real drama.
The set of books includes The Mysteries of Udolpho, Sir Charles Grandison, and, of course, Northanger Abbey.
Great care has been taken to accurately reflect the dress of the book's particular period. For example, you will note the narrow sleeves on various gowns, rather than the larger puffs of the later Regency.
For those who have visited Bath, many landmarks should be recognizable, though I had to work from old engravings of certain sites which no longer exist.
 
I was raised on Austen's writings and have a sincere interest in many aspects of the Georgian and Regency eras.
